The Contract Power Group secured the contract to provide power to the Fortescue Metals Cloud Break Mine site situated in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
We have designed procured installed and commissioned the 30 MW station on the site. This power station utilises the MTU 20 V 4000 platform.
CPG has since this first installation upgraded the power station now to a capacity of 44 MW consisting of 22 MTU 20V 4000 engines.
First power was available on the 26th October 2007 with full and final commissioning taking place on the 1st of December 2007.
This power station was ahead of time, as contract power always strives for and on budget.
