Norseman Gold Mine – 10 MW

CPG commenced operations in the town of Norseman Western Australia, located on the Central Norseman Gold Mine site in 1998, delivering a new 9 MW high speed power station to replace the old Central Norseman plant located in a large hall on the mine site.

The new power station has since supplied the town of Norseman and the Central Norseman Gold mine with all of the areas power requirements since this date.

Powered by the reliable Cummis KTA 50 engine this site achieved 67,000 operating hours before a major re-power took place in 2010.

Central Norseman Gold has a colourful and long history in this state and is recognised as being the longest continually operated gold mine in the Southern Hemisphere.
