Contract Power has recently entered into an agreement to incorporate a 300kW solar installation with the existing town power supply of Meekatharra. Contract Power has engaged Hybrid Systems Australia to own and operate the equipment, with a total available capacity of 1.2MW output for future growth.
With the increasing demand for reduction of fossil fuels, reliance on the integration into an existing diesel station is paramount to start the reduction. With the advanced control systems in place and ability to work in unison to increase the benefits, Contract Power is excited to see the true results of the renewable marketplace. Construction on the site has begun January 2017 and expected first power exported by late February 2017.
