In addition to the Port Hedland infrastructure already installed for FMG, Contract Power was contracted to install and maintain a powerstation at the Kanyirri facility. It consists of 3 x Cummins QSK23 900kVA units powering the fuel unloading facility for the minesite infrastructure. Built and commissioned in 2012.
Contract Power was engaged to provide power at the FMG Rail Marshaling Yards in 2008 including a containerised switchroom and cyclone proof installation on screw-piles. This is a wet hire style setup that is serviced by CPG and consists of 2 x Cummins KTA 50 1250kVA units and 1 x Cummins QSK23 900kVA genset.
CPG won the tender for the 10.2 megawatt build, own, and operate power station for Kimberley Nickels Savannah Nickel Project. Utilising the latest in MTU series 4000 engines, CPM won the project by demonstrating a significant fuel saving. (more…)
The FMG Fire Tail project required an innovative solution to a mobile power supply for the purposes of commissioning FMG’s Solomon mine sites OPF without the need to run the larger permanent power station during construction and the ability to move the plant easily around the site to power different areas when required. CPG commenced operations in the town of Norseman Western Australia, located on the Central Norseman Gold Mine site in 1998, delivering a new 9 MW high speed power station to replace the old Central Norseman plant located in a large hall on the mine site. (more…)
