Contract Power entered into an EPC contract with Horizon power for a 1MW / 1MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), including a 1.25MVA Transformer at the Onslow Zone Substation, with completion in Q2 2019.
An Engineer, Procure and Construct (EPC) contract was awarded for a 56MW gas fired Power Station at the Wodgina Lithium Mine, located 110km south of Port Hedland. Site works commenced in April 2018, where 28x QSV91 Cummins Gas Sets were installed in the largest engine hall built by Contract Power to date. This site was commissioned in December 2018.
In September 2017 Contract Power Group was awarded the Build Own Operate (BOO) contract to supply power to the Pilbara Minerals Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum Project. Construction of the Power Station commenced in Q4 2017 with completion in Q1 2018.
In March 2017, Contract Power Group purchased a 176 kVA ABB PowerStore Battery Inverter which includes 98.2kWh of Samsung batteries. The ABB Inverter and Batteries were purchased for an existing CPG site and will assist with grid stability and provide support for existing reciprocating generation.
In August 2017 Contract Power Group together with Hybrid Systems Australia successfully completed the design, installation and integration of the Meekatharra Solar Power Station, positioned in the remote Western Australian town of Meekatharra. (more…)
Contract Power has entered into a new 7 year Build Own and Operate contract with Blackham Resources for the Matilda Gold Project in Wiluna. The project consists of two stages incorporating existing site infrastructure with new generation plant totaling 18MW of installed capacity. (more…)
Contract Power was awarded the contract for an upgrade to the existing Horizon Power Kununurra Power Station located within the town. The current station is providing back up to the Ord Hydro power supply. The contract involved the upgrade to existing site infrastructure, procurement of new diesel generation and relocation of existing Horizon Power assets. (more…)
